falling ceiling chapter: one

Taylor lay on her bed. looking at her ceiling she wasn't hoping it would fall on her but she wouldn't have minded. She was 19 and she had been living on her own for a year now, or at least almost a year. She hadn't gone to college, instead she had searched for her future at MCdonlad's and chuckee cheese. Her friends had all gone off to great schools burdened with nothing but scholarships ready to become famous actors, actresses, writers, poets, and painters. Her friends bodies where gangly with big feet and short torsos and there brains worked just as fast when they where awake as they did when they where asleep. They all had decided that they could find themselves in work, in art, or just plain motion of the mind. she hadn't gone to college and she wasn't packing her bags for it any time soon. She was home waiting for a sign that would come to late. Home waiting for a idea that wouldn't work. Home waiting for a sound that wasn't worth hearing. When was she going to go for it? When would she been done waiting and be ready to go after her dream instead of sleep away her life with the foolish anticaption of it's arrival. She wasn't ready to act yet and she wasn't ready to be angry with herself either, she curled up against her pillow and shut her eyes and waited for the ceiling to stay put or fall.
